ACV is looking for an experienced Senior level People/HR leader to join our People Operations Team, primarily supporting our Corporate Teams. Our ideal candidate has a passion for all things People, has strong management and leadership skills, takes a solution-based approach, and has the experience and a history of success navigating complex situations. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a subject matter expert and have the ability to be a collaborative influencer across our organization. This person must be located onsite at our company headquarters in Buffalo, NY

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Collaborate with business leaders and Teammates to drive a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Partner closely with leaders and Teammates to drive excellent work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
• Provide strategic and tactical partnership with leadership to support overall operational effectiveness and performance.
• Provide coaching and support to leaders regarding workforce planning, culture development, organizational design/development, policies & procedures.
• Collaborate with leaders in the effective implementation of programs related to recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, performance management and Teammate relations.
• Provide coaching and facilitation of leadership development programs to build capability, ensuring organizational health by promoting Teammate engagement.
• Serve in a responsive manner to arising Teammate relations issues and managing conflict in varying situations such as performance coaching and directing Teammates to the appropriate resources for support as needed.
• Lead/work with the entire People team and business teams on special projects as needed to support ACV’s organizational culture and to ensure an exceptional Teammate experience.
• Be a steward of our Teammate experience and role model for ACV’s culture.
• Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and handle complex employee relations issues as necessary.
• Collaborate with others in support and execution of ACV’s safety and worker’s compensation programs, initiatives, and practices focused on incident prevention and the safety of all Teammates.
• Work with the Total Rewards team regarding all areas of Total rewards (Benefits, Compensation, Equity, Wellness, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

What you will need:

• 8+ years of experience in a People/Human Resources and/or related profession
• A people-first approach and a commitment to excellence
• A passion for the mission, vision, and values of ACV
• Experience working with a dispersed work group across multiple locations and geographic areas
• Thorough knowledge in the areas of employee relations, compensation, compliance, organizational design, benefits, and total rewards
• Technically proficient and able to use GSuite, and Microsoft Windows products, and have prior working experience using HRIS System(s)
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills, attention to detail, and follow-up skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple locations
• Strong business and People/HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, analysis, and being agile while leading through change.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Experience in full cycle recruitment process, total rewards programs, employee relations and compliance
• Strong coaching and consulting skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and have strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently
• PHR and/or SHRM-CP Certification preferred
