As a Robotics Software Engineer, you will

• Work hands-on in a creative, organic start-up environment focused on delivering the solution without funding pressure
• Build world-class expertise in cutting-edge technologies growing as a technical leader and product owner
• Create the mission-critical software that enables autonomous robot operation with extreme reliability
• Support the analytics platform by providing high integrity mission data
• Develop algorithms for localization in extreme environments
• Create advanced algorithms to overcome challenges discovered in field trials
• Develop advanced control algorithms to rapidly adapt to environment changes and robot health
• Design tests and simulations to validate proposed solutions
• Collaborate with a motivated software development team to find the best solutions to problems

We Are Looking For:

• Substantial experience with modern C++
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Robotics or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to take lead pursuing solutions of open-ended problems
• Passion for hands-on robotics, ability to plan trials and learn from their results
• Ability to quickly formulate, propose and debate solutions
• Desire to maximize the performance of cutting-edge hardware

Nice to Have:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Python, Docker, ROS, Linux, LinuxRT
• Robotics experience including SLAM, Adaptive control, Heuristic planning, Semantic mapping
• Experience in the following areas is a plus: Embedded systems, Sensors, Real-time data processing, Robotics, Industrial automation, Computer vision, Controls, Reliability, Industrial design, Firmware, Electronics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
