POSITION TITLE- Human Resources Generalist

REPORTS TO: President

This position is responsible for guiding and directing the overall provisions of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire company. Specifically, this position oversees and directs all recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, change management and training programs for the company. In addition, the Manager is responsible for implementing, enforcing and administering federal and state employment regulations as well as corporate policies and procedures.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate organization vision, mission, structures, processes and people and recommend, design and facilitate implementation of solutions to ensure alignment with the Company’s overall direction.
• Responsible for implementing, enforcing and administering federal and state employment regulations as well as corporate policies and procedures.
• Manage core Performance Management and feedback processes. Develop manager capability on employing these processes and obtaining best in class results.
• Create and maintain accurate and written job descriptions with clear job accountability, reporting structures and career paths
• Assist with Bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Develop training plans and programs; organize training sessions, workshops, and activities and track employee training.
• Establish salary guidelines for hiring and performance evaluations for each job within the organization
• Provide recruiting and hiring support by developing recruitment plans and implementing activities such as internal communication, placement of ads; reviewing resumes, conducting screening interviews, administer tests through Indeed and perform reference and background checks.
• Assist Operations Staff with identifying a pool of suitable applicants for hire for new jobs or replacement employees.
• Work with Kwantek and Team software to ensure that employees are hired and on boarded as efficiently as possible.
• Enter newly hired employees into our payroll system.
• Serve as the Affirmative Action compliance officer
• Develop staff orientation and overall onboarding programs.
• Ensure accurate employee files
• Administration of all corporate and employee benefits and services to include health care programs, leave management and benefits.
• Periodic evaluation of programs to ensure the most effective and high quality programs; administration of all benefits programs
• Development and distribution of employee benefits packages, handbooks and materials
• Directly manage all benefit suppliers
• Manage all drug testing and substance abuse programs
• Adhere to all specific customer requirements required by customers.
• Provide backup paperwork and certification letters to customers as needed.
• Collaborate with management and staff to drive workforce planning initiatives within department teams.
• Provide proactive guidance and counsel to managers and employees on employee relations issues.
• Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives with management staff in order to address issues that will enhance overall performance.
• Ensure that all documentation regarding I-9’s is complete and up to date. Ensure that a separate set of I-9’s is available for audit.
• Development and management of workplace safety programs- at all facilities and show-site operations and overall environmental conditional
• Develop and manage all safety programs as well as accident reporting
• Ensure adherence of OSHA rules and regulations and OSHA 300 log is up to date.
• Manages all worker’s compensation claims and represents the company at worker’s compensation hearings as needed.
• Works with the office staff to develop and facilitate corporate functions such as companywide meetings, birthday parties and holiday events.
• Assist with the set-up and implementation of our new WASP bar code inventory system as time allows.
• Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary under the direction of the President.

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bi-Lingual, Spanish/English is required due to the make-up of our work force
• Ten (10)+years’ experience of strategic Human Resource leadership experience with recent experience supporting complex organizations.
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment regulations, including ACA, E-verify, Workers Comp, unemployment law etc.
• Demonstrated success in all Human Resources functional areas within a fast-paced, technically focused environment is essential. Must be hands-on and capable of producing work with limited support staff.
• Must be results-oriented and demonstrate strategic thinking, innovation, flexibility in dealing with changing and ambiguous situations.
• Demonstrated success conducting comprehensive needs analysis, organization design and development initiatives, implementing change models and developing organization structures while proactively driving ongoing optimization efforts.
• Excellent project management skills including successful leadership of projects from planning phase through completion.
• Excellent leadership skills including; superb communication, delivery of results, consultative skills, partnership skills and team building.
• Must love Dogs and enjoy working in a relaxed atmosphere

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Generalist has the direct responsibility for the supervision of all Human Resources functions including completing performance evaluations, rewarding, counseling, and reprimanding staff members. This individual will also assist management or administer disciplinary action to employees in order to support corporate policies and procedures. The individual will have high accountability and responsibility for the impact of errors across the organization and employees.

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

The Human Resources Manager maintains an open line of communication with all AMI staff. This person interfaces regularly with other departments. This individual serves as a liaison between the executive management team and AMI employees. In addition, the Human Resources Manager interacts with management and supervisors on a daily basis to ensure corporate policies are being followed.
