Position: Project Manager

Reporting To: Director of Operations

Location: San Francisco, CA (Bay Area Requirement)

Duties & Responsibilities

• The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall success of a given project. The PM will be with the project from beginning to final close-out coordinating all aspects of the project. The PM kicks off the project with a site walk to understand the project scope and requirements and gather the details on how to install the various devices within the constraints of the environment. The PM is the coordination point for materials, field installation, IT requests, third party subcontractors, system configuration, testing, final inspection, and close-out. Effectively managing the project, team, and tasks in accordance with the project scope. Finally, the PM will ensure all employees follow appropriate safety procedures as specified in the Safety and Health Plan.
• Maintains current project plans and specifications
• Works with engineering department on the design of projects
• Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies and services; and controls timely delivery to job-site
• Prepares the project installation plan, manages installation team, subcontractors, and engineering to that plan
• Determines, from review of various information, necessary changes in design, contract price, implementation plan or other activities and implements them
• Maintains construction schedule and coordinates task scheduling with other trades
• Selects and monitors the performance of installation team and subcontractors
• Keeps self, superiors and subordinates informed of progress
• Maintains all records of project status, project changes, material flow and other control records and supervises the preparation and processing of reports for internal and external use
• Estimate or assist in estimating projects which the company is bidding

• Implements quality assurance program to continuously improve customer satisfaction:
• Present a professional image of the company when speaking to customers (all levels)
• Develops a relationship with the decision makers of customers
• Routinely walks job site to ensure quality installation
• Responsible for customer satisfaction

• Project Close Out
• Responsible for completing as-builds, project photos, project documentation
• Responsible for completing all paperwork, PO’s are completed, Notices of Completion (NOC) are sent, projects are turned over to Support organization
• Responsible for project is 100% billed and revenue is taken

• Monitors project status and controls project costs
• Provides information to determine labor and material resources on a monthly basis
• Assists management in monthly forecasting
• Ensures proper project management and cost control by reviewing financial statements
• Supervises the preparation of base data required for project billing
• Monitors financial and other reports and works with other management tools to address project problems
• Ensures timecards are accurate and filled out completely with project numbers and phase codes
• Devises a plan of action to remedy any project problems and implements plans to assure project profitability

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, or 5 years experience in equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of experience in security systems estimation, project installation, and managing field installation technicians
• At least 5 years of experience with one or more of the following physical security products – LenelS2, OpenPath, Avigilon ACC, Avigilon ACM, Genetec, and Exacq
• At least 3 years of experience in networking working with Active Directory and VMware preferred
• Demonstrated hands-on troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated research and analytical skills
• Experience with surveillance and access control is desirable

Skills / Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of project management, resource allocation and cost control
• Excellent communication skills required (verbal and written)
• Communication skills to include customer presentations and ability to write correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small groups
• An understanding of financial reports and the ability to contain costs in handling of large projects
• Solve practical problems and carryout responsibilities under general supervision
• Ability to organize workload in an effective manner
• Strong customer relations and results oriented
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
• Function as an effective team member
• Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves

Pay: $75,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
