POSITION: Marketing and Communications Coordinator

GENERAL SUMMARY: This dynamic position provides a wide-range of marketing and communications support and coordination for Asolo Rep as a member of the marketing team. This role encompasses email marketing, social media, audience development and event marketing. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is a collaborative member of the team and displays enthusiasm for the mission, vision, artistic endeavors, programs and initiatives of Asolo Rep.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist marketing department with strategizing and developing show, program and institutional projects throughout the season
• Oversee the marketing for FSU/Asolo Conservatory productions
• Write, design and oversee distribution of weekly email newsletters using the email platform Wordfly with an integration into our ticketing system, Tessitura
• Maintain a schedule and build a wide range of email marketing communications using WordFly to support campaigns for ticket sales, pre/post show patron communications, event RSVPs and program attendance
• Leverage Google Analytics to drive strategy and regularly report on insights and KPIs that may be useful to organizational strategy
• Manage Asolo Rep’s Google Grant; structure and monitor campaigns that support the various productions and programs of the organization
• Manage, create and curate content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn; maintain an active social media calendar using analytics to drive strategy and engagement setting appropriate KPIs and reporting; accordingly, instinctively picks up a camera to capture content
• Assist Associate Marketing Director with press nights, photo calls, interview requests, press releases, press portal and other publicity activities; proactively looks for opportunities to elevate Asolo Rep on the regional and national stage
• Assist with the collection of materials for various publications including brochures and show playbills; coordinate production schedules with graphics to ensure timely execution
• Coordinate and execute audience development initiatives including [email protected], street teams and collateral distribution
• Represent Asolo Rep by periodically manning a table at arts festivals, farmer’s markets and other events as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 2+ years of experience, with related degree and/or experience in marketing, advertising, or communications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of project management platforms (Basecamp, Teams, Slack, etc)
• General understanding of best practices and interest in email, social media and digital marketing; strong desire to learn more digital platforms and expand current knowledge
• Strong writer with the ability to self-edit; understands the difference between sales, editorial and social media copy and effectively uses these styles of communication
• Dedicated and responsive team player who enthusiastically supports the artistic vision and the performing arts
• Must demonstrate excellent time management, organizational and project management skills juggling multiple priorities and tasks under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills with the ability to process constructive feedback and work collaboratively
• Ability to represent the organization at special events
• Theatre or performing arts knowledge strongly preferred
• Regularly attend Asolo Rep performances, programs and hosted events
• Some nights and weekends are expected
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
• This position is in-person at Asolo Repertory Theatre in Sarasota, FL
• Asolo Rep is a fully vaccinated company. Proof of a COVID-19 vaccine is required for employment.

Pay: $42,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
