Summary/objective

The Operations Project Manager works closely with all cross-functional teams to provide strategic and tactical project management / leadership services for current and future business needs.

• Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
• Provide on-site / remote leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
• Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
• Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
• Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities
• Participate / Lead establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
• Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
• Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership
• Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
• Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
• Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders
• Ability to create RFPs and guide a supplier decision process
• Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in project methodologies, agile, SCRUM, SDLC / waterfall
• Experience (min 2 to 5 years) at leading operational projects.
• Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
• Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation), and interpersonal skills
• Tools: MS Project, Smartsheet, Excel, Word, LucidChart, and PowerPoint
• Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule, and within budget close
• Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executive sponsors, team members, stakeholders, and peers

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Must have very strong analytical skills.
• Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently. (CAPM / PMP Preferred)
• Must be detail oriented. Demonstrate strong research, analysis, communication, and follow through skills.
• Proven ability to learn, adapt, and achieve daily.
• Ability to work with high degrees of professionalism in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to work independently and show judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Industry-specific knowledge in the automotive space is preferred.

Supervisory responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers. This position will be based in the Plano, TX HQ of AsTech

Physical demands

Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech, and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.

Travel required

This position will require travel (Approx. 25% of the time)
