Primary School Teachers at BB International are assigned a rotation of classes and are responsible each year for a specific discipline. The team of Primary Teachers work with the curriculum coordinator to develop projects and lesson plans, to design a framework of connected topics and concepts each semester. Primary Teachers are encouraged to work together on joint projects through interdisciplinary approaches and assignments. Primary Teachers have the opportunity to rotate their discipline, allowing each teacher to expand upon their strengths or embrace disciplines outside of their realm of expertise. The average class size is 12 students per teacher, with a cap of 14 students per class.

BB International is a private school for students from Pre-School age through Grade 5 located in Pompano Beach, FL. Founded in 1985, BBI’s campus is located on over 1.5 acres of Pompano Beach and boasts the historic McNab House built in 1925. As a School of the Arts, BB International incorporates a wide variety of teachers and skills into its custom curriculum, including a culinary lab taught by a professional chef, two Ateliers with trained artists teaching the fine arts, weekly cinema, music & yoga classes, and a language immersion program taught by native language speaking teachers. The lower school’s philosophy is a blend of Reggio inspired approach based on the foundations of Bruner, Vygotsky and Piaget and traditional Montessori practices. As the children progress into the primary grades, the curriculum is based on the STEAM framework (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) and fostering innovation through the conjunction of the traditional academic disciplines with the creativity and freedom of the arts. Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
