Job Summary:

The Human Resource Manager performs duties in the following functional areas: plans, develops, implements and administers HR programs. This position is also responsible for development and integration of human resource programs and associated projects to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization. The HR Manager must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.

Essential Functions:

• Develops and administers various human resources plan and procedures for all company personnel.
• Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures.
• Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
• Provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices, policy and employment laws.
• Facilitates communication among employees and management. May guide managers and employees on problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance.
• Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; and mitigating all legal risk.
• Provides expertise in strategy development and execution, planning and facilitation of employee relations efforts.
• Monitors and performs periodic I-9 audits to ensure compliance of I-9 documentation in accordance with federal laws.
• Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to design employee job performance evaluation, and succession planning.
• Lead employee communication and support employees at all levels of the organization with HCM system implementation, policies, and procedures.
• Organize, maintain, and update employee information, personnel file, and corresponding changes in the HRIS/Payroll System, to include on-boarding and de-boarding process.
• Assist with the recruitment and interview process. Complete pre-employment, new hire orientation process for new hires and other related employee trainings.
• Coordinate health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
• Perform all other duties and or projects as assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, human resources, or related field. PHR or SPHR Certification Preferred.

Required Knowledge: Proficient with MS Office: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Experience Required: 6+ experience in an HR capacity and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
