As part of a diverse and hardworking team of experts, you will be responsible for designing, building and continuously improving a state-of-the-art core infrastructure system that would allow us to launch and land rockets faster, cheaper and better. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of enabling everyone around you to go faster. Together, our team develops the software tools and deployment pipeline that enables us to deliver safe and well-tested software to our vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate Common Avionics tools and services into program level pipelines in a solution engineering role.
• Work directly with program level customers to maintain high quality verification evidence capture.
• Be our “eyes and ears” understanding the needs and requirements of our customers.
• Maintain our high touch customer relationships through our technical solutions.
• Assist avionics engineering teams understand company level policies and requirements for verification artifact capture, and software configuration management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Aerospace Industry experience with safety critical software and/or tools qualification activities
• Experience with build, test, and deployment automation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

• Experience with Linux, Docker, Continuous Integration and Delivery, REST APIs, and networking concepts
• Experience with scripted languages such as python and compiled languages such as C/C++
• Experience with unit testing and test-driven development
• Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies
• Working knowledge of Configuration Management concepts such as GIT workflows, versioning, branching
