Boston Institute of Biotechnology, LLC, is a global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO). We provide full spectrum services for the production of biological products from microbial and mammalian cell culture processes. Our services include (1) cell line/strain development, (2) upstream, downstream and analytical development, (4) drug formulation development, and (5) GMP production.

Summary of Position

A Project Manager at BIB is a highly motivated individual that is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Project Manager is among the core members that significantly contribute to the operation of BIB and to defining the direction of growth of BIB.

Responsibilities

• Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
• Coordinate internal resources and clients for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involve all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, biomedical/biochemical engineering, or related fields
• 2-5 years of project management and related experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in biotechnology
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
