We’re a small but mighty brand in the baby/toddler space born and raised in Phoenix for over 30 years. We love designing healthy, eco-friendly feeding and teething products, and we create awesome solutions the whole family will love. We partner with several international brands, licensed characters, and more. We’re looking for the right person with the personality and skill set to join our creative department.

We are looking for a creative and outgoing designer to join our small but fun creative team.

This role will be to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media including packaging, social media, tradeshow graphics, web banners, various illustrations, catalogs, product sheets, and more.

Bumkins brand is continually evolving and we are looking for a designer that will take the initiative to grow their own skills and be able to give their own creative input while also being able to take constructive criticism.

Our projects are fast-paced and have tight deadlines. As a graphic designer at Bumkins, you will be responsible for your own tasks from start to completion. This may include creating a list of all assets needed (photos, illustrations, etc.), getting/creating said assets, communicating with other teams/directors to ensure the project is done on time and to the satisfaction of said team/director.

Ideally, we are looking for an experienced designer that can work quickly but still be able to get creative with their tasks and are ok with creating multiple versions for approvals. This position requires good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Go through individual tasks and gather required art assets needed
• Bring marketing concepts and ideas to life based on references
• Prepare rough drafts and present multiple versions/options to choose from
• Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software or by hand
• Use the appropriate colors (CMYK/RGB) and layouts for each graphic
• Work with copywriters and project owner to produce the final design
• Test graphics across various media
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Skills

• Proven graphic design experience
• Knowledge of photo sizing and requirements for print vs. web
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines, using project management software (Asana)
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus

Pay: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour

• Associate (Preferred)
