Responsibilities:

• Accountable for day to day administration of leave of absences including FMLA and other Burlington leave types

• Communicates with employees regarding their leave. Ensures employees are aware of their responsibilities and any documentation and notice required to qualify for and initiate leave

• Coordinate and execute financial transactions and activities such as premium invoicing, payment of premiums, payment reconciliation and coordination with payroll and related analytics

• Provide high level customer service to associates answering questions and researching/resolving problems

• Advise managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off and leave of absences with Burlington

• Responsible for leave administration, compliance, process, documentation, associate/manager inquiries, reporting and escalated issues

• Assist managers and Human Resources with unapproved leaves

• Ensure legal and company compliance with COBRA, FMLA, ERISA and other state and federal laws and regulations

• Administer the programs in accordance with company policy and procedure to ensure compliance with both internal and external auditors

• Maintain and update associate records in HRIS

• Investigates and resolves questions regarding communication and legislative leave filing

• Compile data and assist with preparing reports on associate leave status and utilization of leave program

• Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws

• Drafts and/or recommends revisions to company leave policies and communications to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations

Education and Experience:

• Candidates must have at minimum an associate degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Minimum of 2 years of leave administration experience

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
