My client is the largest and most strategically important multi-modal industrial tract on the eastern seaboard. They are seeking a Project Manager/Engineer to join its Development team to work at its corporate headquarters located in Sparrows Point, MD. The position will report to the Director of Project Management. The Project Manager/Engineer will be a key contributor to assigned development projects and the continued success of TPA.

The Project Manager/Engineer’s responsibilities include:

• Lead/participate in all aspects of day-to-day designated construction project management.

• Key liaison to senior leadership, development team, tenants, outside architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors.

• Establishes, monitors and enforces financial policies, procedures, and internal controls in estimating and bidding processes and tracking costs to meet project budget.

• Review, preparation and approval of contracts and purchase orders to document all ordered work, schedules, projected costs, change orders and technical specifications.

• Review project drawing specifications, submittals and change orders.

• Implement and manage detailed project schedules, tasks and milestones through project completion.

• Provide field support to help ensure contract compliance, quality control and maintenance of a safe work site.

The ideal candidate should have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, an Engineering discipline, or Engineering Technology, preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in commercial/industrial real estate development/property management industry.

• Proficiency with Procore, Yardi Voyager or comparable commercial real estate management system.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project, Office, Bluebeam, Smartsheet or similar systems.

• Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints and engineering/architectural drawings.

• Knowledge of safety regulations, ANSI standards, local and state building codes, environmental codes, and other regulatory or industry guidelines.

• Experience with fast growing companies (with demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic environment).

• Honesty, integrity and strong communication skills essential, along with a sense of urgency and a desire to work closely as a partner with other members of the company’s management team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
