RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with month-end close process and daily GL activity
- Assist with business licenses and tax research
- Assist with sales, use, and income tax preparation and reporting
- Generate accruals, allocations, and GL entries
- Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving any identified discrepancies
- Compile/analyze financial information
- Assist with internal and external financial statement preparation
- Assist external auditors with annual audit, including preparation of workpapers and financial statements for audit use
- Perform departmental inquiry and P&L research
- Coordinate with other departments for information/analyses for proper adjustments
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Other special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- BA in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CPA candidate highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, with ability to apply concepts
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
- Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Power Point
- Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively multitask
- Desire to work in a fast paced and changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
