Prominent Nassau County law firm seeks a Human Resources Director with at least five years of experience. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in human resources or a related field, SHRM certification and experience working in a law firm environment.

The applicant must be familiar with New York State and federal employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in compliance matters, drafting and administering workplace policies and/or employment handbooks, creating job postings and interviewing candidates for administrative positions, employee onboarding, collaborating with managing attorneys concerning interpersonal and disciplinary issues, administering payroll and benefit programs, and maintaining confidential employment records. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
