A leading hedge fund investment manager based in Miami, FL is seeking a Chief Financial Officer with a strong background in finance and management to join the rapidly growing firm. Only seeking candidates already coming to or based in South Florida. The position provides a unique opportunity to work as an integral member of a team with a long history of success. Ideally, candidates should possess a CPA and relevant work experience in partnership finance and accounting. The CFO will lead the firm’s finance, accounting, compliance and business operations, providing strategic leadership and execution. Prior work at a private equity/venture capital/hedge fund or similarly regulated financial services business is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead all non-investment functions including finance, operations, compliance, legal, audit, tax, HR, and IT
• Manage finance, accounting and business processes and systems
• Oversee risk management and internal controls
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all functions
• Support team in fundraising and investor relations
• Liaise with key services providers including audit, tax, compliance, legal, IT, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA is preferred
• Partnership finance and accounting experience
• Prior work at a hedge fund/private equity/venture capital or similarly regulated financial services business is required
• Exceptional analytical, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Superior problem solving and time management skills
• Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize, excellent work ethic
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and provide project leadership
• Show initiative and possess a mind-set for continuous improvement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $250,000.00 – $300,000.00 per year
