Growing business services company is looking for a Controller to add to their team. This person will report directly to the CFO.
The Controller is responsible for leading and managing the finance and accounting functions. This person will take ownership of the company’s financial strategy, accounting, tax filings, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting/forecasting, audit management, and the continual development of internal financial control policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for accounting and financial planning & analysis
· Manage AR/AP vendor relationships
· Own all financial books and records, ensuring timely and accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports
· Analyze the ROI of various sales, marketing, and operations activities in the company
· Partner with senior leadership to develop short and long-term budget and financial forecasts for use with senior leadership, key stakeholders, and external parties
· Manage and continuously improve financial controls and accounting procedures
· Partner closely with operations team to improve demand planning, building and implementing production plans based on sales forecasts and desired inventory levels
· Partner with sales and marketing teams to analyze promotional activities product pricing and trade investment to drive sales growth and profitability
· Lead the financial analysis of actual to budget results and prepare corresponding reports and commentary that detail the variances
· Develop, lead, and maintain relationships with external auditors, insurance providers, banks, and other vendors and key stakeholders
Requirements
· CPA license a plus
5+ years of Controller level experience
Strong FP&A experience
Experience with multi-locations
· Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
· Proficiency with and knowledge of all pertinent accounting rules and regulations, including GAAP
· Audit experience
· Proven track record of leading and managing teams
· Expert in Microsoft Excel
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Demonstrated ability to build financial capabilities
· Strong analytical and communication skills
· Ability to work in very fast-paced, collaborative environment
· Attention to detail and sound decision-making skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year
