Cordia is partnered with a premier technology company who is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with Costpoint experience to oversee the general accounting operations by controlling and verifying their financial transactions. Details below!

Title: Senior Accountant
Hourly Rate: $40.00 – $50.00/hour
Location: Hybrid – Tysons Corner, VA
Job Type: Contract to Hire

Prior experience using Deltek Costpoint is required!
Strong billing experience is highly preferred

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries
• Review monthly journal entries of junior staff to ensure monthly close is performed timely and accurately substantiated
• Prepare financial analyses and reports
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Preparation of billings in accordance with contractual billing milestones
• Assist with annual audit preparations
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance
• Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, processes, and procedures
• Perform other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-4 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Strong organizational and stress management skills
• Ability to train and manage staff
• Ability to work with little to no supervision
