Cordia is partnered with a small but growing technology company providing technology and human capital solutions to the Federal Government. They are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with QuickBooks experience for a hands-on role accounting role overseeing the general accounting operations. Details below!

Title: Senior Accountant
Hourly Rate: $40.00 – $50.00/hour
Location: Hybrid – Tysons Corner, VA
Job Type: Contract Consultant, with potential of Contract to Hire for the right candidate

Prior experience using QuickBooks in a small govcon company environment is required!

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Help with payroll process and timesheet reviews
• Help with billing customers and vendor invoice payments
• Ensure QuickBooks set up correctly
• Must be hands on but also with the ability to see the big picture
• Perform other accounting duties and support as required or assigned

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

• Government contracting experience in a small company
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-4 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
• Proficiency with QuickBooks
• Ability to work with little to no supervision
