EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Training and/or Education or related field plus four (4) years of related experience; OR any related combination of education from an accredited college or university or related experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years may substitute for the required education and experience and may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA’S)Ability to organize and conduct meetings and training sessions with staff and community volunteers both in group settings or individual.Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written English to prepare accurate, concise, complete, and informative written materials, and to make effective presentations to small or large groups.Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, typewriter, photocopying machine, fax, and item processing machine.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the public, supervisors, and co-workers.Ability to accept responsibility and perform stated duties at an advanced level and with minimum supervision.Knowledge of principles of supervisory and administrative practices and procedures.Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively handle multiple concurrent assignments and activities.Ability to manage projects and personnel effectively and to work productively either independently or as a team member or team leader.Advanced computer technology experience and skills.Proficient in the use of windows-based word processing, spreadsheets and database software and in the development and maintenance of application dataAbility to maintain objectivity and confidentiality in dealing with a variety of complex andpotentially sensitive projects.Ability to assist in training subordinates and to supervise the work of subordinates; to organize and assign work and evaluate the status of work in process.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSThe offer of this Bernalillo County position requires compliance with the following: Employee must successfully complete the post-offer employment medical examination and background investigation.Employee must comply with the safety guidelines of the County.WORKING CONDITIONSAll essential duties are performed indoors.Duties are performed in a temperature-controlled environment.Duties are performed on an even surface, which may be carpeted or tile. Working surface is typically dry.Works under minimum supervision.EQUIPMENT, TOOLS AND MATERIALSEquipment typically used in the performance of office duties includes telephone, computer terminal, computer printer, computer keyboard, photocopy machine, fax machine and calculator.Materials and products handled in the course of performing essential duties include files, forms, reports, various other paperwork, and a wide variety of basic office supplies.
