Openings available for Lead Software Engineer at Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC in Atlanta, GA:
Write and maintain code within applications and systems to implement capabilities and features, and to improve performance and maintainability. Reduce technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps. Play a role in Agile planning by providing advice and guidance and monitoring emerging trends. Work with Product Management to understand the challenges that customers and end users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design viable solutions. Recommend viable solutions to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team. Foresee capacity requirements for component usage and identify limitations. Provide input to story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning. Contribute to product and solution designs to address critical issues and complex problems. Build software applications across multiple platforms in response to the needs of stakeholders. Understand technical architecture and write software and automated tests that are in alignment with agreed upon standards. Perform troubleshooting efforts and investigations when necessary.
Requires a bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 7 years of experience in the position offered or 7 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems. Also requires 7 years of experience: realizing applications from conception through design and from implementation through support; coding within multiple technology stacks on both the front-end and back-end; using application lifecycle methodologies; performing software analysis, design, and programming; and using database technologies. In lieu of a bachelors degree and 7 years of experience, the employer will accept a masters or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 5 years of experience as stated. Employee reports to office in Atlanta, GA. Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. We are offering a salary of $145,068.70 to $181,335.10 per year.
