Crown Linen, LLC Hiring for Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant Job at Miami, FL Full Time

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant will keep financial records, prepare reports, and update financial information. You must be familiar with accounting procedures and should have experience with accounting software programs like Great Plains is preferred, but not required. You will need to be able to handle accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, and other financial matters.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Handling bookkeeping and following accounting best practices

· Fact-checking invoices for payment and processing

· Preparation of Sales Tax filing with the state

· Consolidation and review of Credit Card expenses

· Assisting the accounting manager with journals as well as record bank transactions

· Assisting with account analysis and account coding

· Tracking of budget accounts and support A/P clerks

· Assist with month end closing

· Reconciling account balances

· Meeting processing and reporting deadlines

· Completes various financial, accounting, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and perform other duties as assigned or as required

· Assisting the financial department, other assistants, and the accounting manager as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EDUCATION

· Accounting Principles knowledge

· Self-motivated and self-directed

· Accurate and precise attention to detail

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize

· Critical thinking / Research and resolution skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience) preferred but not required

· Two to three years of proven accounting/bookkeeping experience

· Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
