About the Team

The DoorDash New Business Development team is a small, motivated group responsible for incubating new lines of business and graduating them to scale. Current areas of focus include partnerships in new markets and to support new lines of business, including Retail, DoorDash Drive, DoorDash Kitchens, and Storefront. The team’s primary function is revenue-generating partnerships, but it also touches strategy, product management, marketing, operations, finance, legal, and other departments necessary to vet and scale new offerings and partner segments. You will report to the Director, New Business Development Post-Sales Retail Team.

As Senior Associate of New Business Development – Retail you will support our effort to partner with the largest Retailers in North America

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

Conduct Data Analysis and Daily Operations:

• Develop analytics that provide insights for our largest retailer accounts
• Liaise internally with Enterprise Partner Managers (EPMs) and in-house partners to lead special projects (i.e. store-level analysis of delivery times to identify areas of operational improvement, evaluating/troubleshooting escalated feedback)
• Oversee continued operational success for existing Retailer partners by managing implementation of expansion plans and identify optimization opportunities (onboarding, development/scaling support channel and processes)

Manage Relationships:

• Build direct relationships with important partners, ensuring Merchant-first needs are met at all levels (i.e. invoicing/AR, support escalations, reporting, forecasting)
• Operationalize the development, adoption and scaling of opportunities to grow our partners’ digital businesses with our largest retailer partners (i.e. launching new departments, store expansions, and building marketing campaigns)
• Help build client-facing materials (e.g., Quarterly Business Reviews, weekly partnership reporting)

We’re excited about you because you have…

• Experience in strategy and operations or consulting; high-growth startup or client-facing operations role. Prior retail, ecommerce, or marketplace industry experience, with investment banking or consulting experience.
• Proficient (or willingness to learn) in analytics and visualization tools, and experience creating data/reporting (e.g., Chartio, Mode, or Tableau), Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)/Google Sheets.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years experience
