We are looking for a Staff Accountant for our Construction Company located in Buckner, KY. We know that Lasting construction starts with a solid safety foundation.

Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor s Degree in Accounting. A minimum of 1-5 years previous general ledger accounting, AP, AR and financial reporting experience is a MUST. Experience working in construction would also be nice to have. You must also be able to pass all required pre-employment screens including a background check with MVR (driving record) and credit check along with an eleven-panel drug screen.

Applicants must also be able to provide reliable daily transportation to and from our offices located in Buckner, KY. where hours are early morning through the afternoon, Monday through Friday.

Here is what we are looking for and need:

• Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations to verify completeness and accuracy
• Serve as a back-up and assist the Accounting Associates in preparing accounting transactions
• Assist with transactions and migration of data into new accounting software
• Assist in maintenance of compliance of subcontractors/vendors, including lien waivers and subcontract agreements
• Maintain and log fixed assets for depreciation and amortization schedules
• Prepare Accounts Payable/Receivable reporting on individual project and company wide scale
• Adhere to internal controls and ensure expense authorization limits are followed
• Prepare additional reports and analysis as required by the Accounting Manager

• Minimum of 1-5 years previous general ledger accounting, AP, AR, and financial reporting experience is required.
• Must have understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Previous software implementation is a plus.
• Must be very detail oriented, possess excellent follow through, and can multi-task
