Director of Adult Workforce Development Programs

40 hours/week (8am to 4pm)

In-person (650 East Avenue, Erie, PA)

Job Duties

• Direct existing and develop new training programs for adults in Erie County, including, but not limited to: Certified Medical Assistant, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Medial Coding & Billing
• Recruit, hire and manage instructors and department staff
• Manage program budget and purchasing
• Form and manage employer councils for each training program in order to ensure alignment of ECAT curriculum and employer needs
• Oversee all aspects of student recruitment, enrollment, support and outcome tracking in all workforce programs
• Create and maintain partnerships with other organizations, post-secondary institutions and state/local offices to maximize ECAT’s alignment with the workforce development landscape in Erie County
• Research, write and track program grants
• Manage program applications, reporting and compliance for maintaining ECAT’s license with the PA Board of Private Licensed Schools
• Work with ECAT’s Marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies for all workforce programs

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, marketing or a related field is required.
• At least three years of administrative, management or technical experience that includes planning and budgeting is required. Previous project management experience is preferred. Curriculum development or industrial training experience is preferred.
• Successful applicants must have a strong ability to self-direct, problem-solve and understand the organization’s overall philosophy and mission. Must have the ability to use systems-thinking in order to design, build and implement policies and processes for the entire department.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse populations

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
