We are looking for a professional Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our West Palm Beach yard operations. The operations manager role is mainly to implement the right processes and practices across the locations individual teams. These teams include weld fabrication, rebar fabrication, warehousing and logistics . The specific duties of an operations manager include working with department managers or leads to formulate strategy, improve performance and to secure compliance. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. This is a hands on job that will require showing others on many occasions best methods or means to accomplish a task. Ultimately, we’ll trust you to help us remain compliant, efficient and profitable during the course of business.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all yard operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective and safe manner.
• Lead the safety program both for on-site, off-site and logistics teams
• Be central support to the dispatch process and customer service communication
• Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
• Work with procurement to oversee warehouse efficiency
• Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
• Formulate strategic and operational objectives
• Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
• Recruit, train and supervise staff
• Find ways to increase quality of customer service

Skills

• Proven work experience as operations manager or similar role
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
• Experience budgeting and forecasting
• Familiarity with building products distribution business
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership ability
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Bi-Lingual (English-Spanish)

Pay: $55,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
