We are looking for a new team member to join our Finance team as an Accountant I.
The Accountant I will support the company’s accounting process in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This is an entry level position reporting directly to the Accounting Manager.
Main Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations – with intentions to lead.
- Setup, enter, and organize tax files including sales tax, franchise tax, and property tax.
- Assist in capital justification process.
- Support A/P and outgoing payment process.
- Coordinate cash collection process.
- Monthly account reconciliations.
- Prepare Wells Fargo weekly and monthly reporting.
- Prepare monthly reports.
- Prepare government reports as needed.
- Prepare routine and/or special journal entries as required.
- Research and resolve vendor issues.
- Assist in completing corporate plans (cost center budgeting).
- Assist in the annual audit process.
- Assist with annual bank audit.
- Special projects as assigned (including audits, corporate reporting, etc.).
- Other duties as required to fulfill the responsibilities above.
Education and Experiences
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting.
- 0-2 years’ experience and exposure to all facets of general accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
