SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the position of the Accounting Supervisor is to manage the accounts of the general ledger, complete billing and prepare monthly financial statements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Perform the majority of month end close out functions. 2.
Ensure billing/invoicing is done timely and accurately. 3. Ensure collection efforts are handled timely. 4.
Prepare financial statements and analyze same. 5. Assist in budget preparations and analyze various cost records. 6.
Reconcile all accounts monthly with general ledger accounts. 7. Assist in establishing objectives of the accounting and finance departments and implementing activities to accomplish the same. 8.
Carry out and adhere to SOP for FFC/FFCS accounting department as defined by our AS 9100 and AS9110. 9. Monitor and update fixed asset records. 10.
Monitor and analyze proper usage of account coding. 11. Serve as backup to the accounts payable and accounts receivable. 12.
Monitor the proper entry of payroll time sheets for propriety. 13. Assist the President and Controller in various projects as assigned. 14.
Assist Controller with inventory reconciliation. 15. Perform other related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and direct employees to perform assigned work duties within the accounting/payroll department.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and two years post college-working experience in private or public practice or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience working for a manufacturer is preferred. Software currently used is Ajera/Deltek and Macola.
