Fort Wayne Massage Institute is the fastest growing Massage Therapy School in Northeast Indiana. FWMI is seeking innovative, passionate, and driven Instructors to add to FWMI’s already dynamic team. Experience teaching Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology or related subjects as well as a background in massage is strongly preferred but not required. Job Description:
The teaching faculty at FWMI are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student’s needs, managing effective instructional activities, modeling employable skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, supporting administrative requirements and maintaining competency in the Massage Therapy field of study. The Instructor will provide FWMI students an in-depth understanding of scientific subjects (Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, etc.) and their relation to various therapeutic massage modalities. He/she will be responsible for the delivery of information in lesson plans including lecture and demonstration through hands-on techniques. He/she will exhibit professional and ethical behavior at all times. Fort Wayne Massage Institute is a fully accredited school that is regulated by the Office of Career and Technical Schools (O.C.T.S) under the Department of Workforce Development.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy, physiology, and pathology Teaching experience (science and/or massage therapy) Strong knowledge of deep tissue Industry training experience Broad knowledge of modalities Impeccable organization and time management skills Strong communication skills
