French & Parrello Associates is seeking to hire a Highway Project Manager in our growing Transportation Group focused on Traffic & Roadway Improvement projects. This position will be based in our Newark, NJ office.

Job Requirements:

• 10 years of related work experience.
• PE license (NJ) required (or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months)
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation design software
• Experience in management and design of roadway, traffic, and/or bridge improvement projects

(NJDOT & NJTA experience a plus)

• Familiar with NJDOT and AASHTO design standards
• Knowledge of principles traffic engineering and related programs (SYNCHRO, HCM, etc.) a plus
• Highly motivated and eager to work on a diverse range of transportation improvement projects for local, county, and state agencies
• Willingness to represent FPA at professional societies and technical seminars
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities:

• Develop design plans for a variety of transportation improvement projects utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation Software
• Complete design reports and calculations for roadway or traffic design tasks
• Develop construction cost estimates and project specific specifications
• Coordinate with all applicable regulatory agencies and utilities
• Complete assignments independently with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with staff within the transportation group and across various other disciplines on larger projects
• Delegate tasks to staff engineers and monitor their work
• Monitoring of the project schedule, budget, and staffing needs
• Actively participate in client contact and communications
• Work with management on proposals and business development as needed
