The Hasbro Gaming organization is looking to add a highly creative and collaborative Graphic Designer to our Family games team!

We’re looking for someone who loves playing games and crafting stories through visual execution. As part of our design and development team, you’d be responsible for creating stunning visuals across all game components, including packaging, rules, cards, as well as communicating story and marketing messaging in an effective and cohesive way. An ideal candidate will show they can produce impressive and highly creative design solutions that communicate brand messages and objectives while maximizing current technologies and trends.

This position will have you work with an outstanding cross-functional team of Product Designers, Engineers, Project Managers, Writers and Marketers to bring new and, beloved classic games to market.

A day in the life of a Graphic Designer on the Family team…

• Utilize strong technical design knowledge and organizational talents to own the design of global brands/products.
• Use sophisticated design software including Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, to execute ideas and prepare files for both electronic and print usage.
• Develop innovative ideas and designs based on global consumer market insights.
• Ensure overall quality, cost, schedule, and brand consistency for assigned projects.
• Work collaboratively with external resources, illustrators, graphic designers, and freelancers by leading work and providing detailed creative briefs.
• Demonstrate tact and diplomacy while interacting as a key liaison with cross-functional teams.
• Utilize time management skills to independently run projects while maintaining clear lines of communication with all team members.
• Demonstrate ability to present work that clearly demonstrates process and how you arrived at your goal.
• Apply on-trend design principles to the creation and layout of packaging and visual communications for retail products.
• Build out marketing materials such as sell sheets and presentation decks.
• Utilize knowledge of lifestyle and product photography with occasional participation in photo shoots as needed.
• Write and prepare pre-press, file prep, and send art files to printers.
• Contribute in brainstorming sessions and use your sense of creativity, foresight, and design judgment in developing and applying marketplace insights and trends (competitive graphics, styles, fashion, lifestyles, etc.)
• Be prepared for the unexpected, have fun every day, and of course, play lots of games!

What you will bring…

• Minimum 3 years of professional design experience, preferably experience within consumer product industry.
• Love games? Our team wants to add on a partner that shows their passion for all things games.
• Strong visual design skills including an understanding of composition, visual communication, hierarchy, use of type, and color theory.
• Ability to critique your own work and others’ work, and professionally absorb and apply feedback.
• BFA in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent experience is preferred, but what is most important to us is ability to do the job.
• Proven success working with typography, logo design, composition, photo direction, color printing processes, and structural development.
• Expert working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
• The aptitude and flexibility to pivot quickly in a fast-paced, collaborative, lively environment.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Shown time/project management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Must have an eye for detail and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellence within creative review process.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must include a link to your portfolio with work samples.

• Portfolio must show proficiency in packaging design, typography, layout design and composition.
• Other graphic work showcasing your particular talents and skills.
