Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Applies principles of cost accounting to conduct studies which provide detailed cost information. Prepares & posts journal entries to general ledger accountant relating to cost accounting.

Assist in month end & year end closing activities related to cost accounting.

Assist in preparing the Annual Business Plan.

Plan study & collect data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory & labor.

Analyzes change in product design, raw material, manufacturing method, or service provided to determine the effects on cost.

Manages the BOM & Routers in our Manufacturing system.

Analyzes actual manufacturing costs & compares them to standard costs.

Provides Management with reports such as raw material pricing, product line profitability.

Assists in Labor & overhead studies.

Develops manual & computer based systems to streamline our accounting processes.

Analyzes change in inventory levels.

Assists in the Budget & forecasting of forecasting levels.

Assists & coordinates portions of the year end audit.

Ensures cost accounting functions are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 3 plus years experience of Cost Accounting
