Extended Care Associate – Part time

Hillbrook School is seeking a part-time (15 hours/week – 2:45pm-5:45pm) Extended Care Associate who will join our extended care team. Together, the extended care team delivers personalized, hands-on/inquiry based, developmentally appropriate, and joyful learning experiences to each of the after school extended care students.

Hillbrook School is a junior kindergarten-8th grade independent school located on 14 acres of oak woodland in Los Gatos, CA. This is an in-person position. Hillbrook School abides by all policies of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), which has outlined a set of requirements for K-12 schools for Covid-19. All individuals present on campus wear masks at all times indoors and outdoors (unless actively eating or drinking). All employees are required to be vaccinated, and all employees and students are tested for Covid-19 weekly.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with Hillbrook Extended Care program and help support a high energy, organized, professional and positive experience for students, parents and staff
• Support extended care staff with all aspects of extended care programs, including:
• Assisting with extended care check-in and check-out processes

• Assisting with student activities, including homework, crafts, and games
• Help with snack distribution process
• Ensuring a high-quality experience for students and parents through clear and frequent communications

Requirements:

• Experience working with large groups of young kids in a school or in a summer camp setting
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Prefer college grad or current university student majoring in Child Development or working on attaining teaching credentials
