The Hoover Automotive Group is growing and looking for dependable, self-motivated Auto Technicians to join our Service Departments. Our Ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to follow instructions well and take pride in being punctual.

**3 Years Automotive Technician/ Mechanic Experience Required**

Automotive Technician/ Mechanic Qualifications:

• 3 Years Auto Technician/ Mechanic Experience Required
• Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record Required
• Must be able to pass drug screen and background check
• Lifting requirements – 25 lbs. to a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand diagrams
• Excellent employee and customer relation skills
• Experience with automotive repairs, diagnostics and custom modifications
• Neat and clean in appearance
• Must have own tools

Automotive Technician/ Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic equipment
• Perform diagnostic analysis
• Perform periodic scheduled and corrective maintenance of installed equipment in an assigned territory
• Repair and correct malfunctions as necessary per vehicle
• Modify and update equipment when required
• Prepare detailed service and failure records and recommend changes to customer on a regular basis
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner
• Be able to work processes that are unique or peculiar to customer needs
• Be involved in the problem-solving process regarding customer complaints
• Have good communication skills, and able to interface with customers and appropriate related company personnel to ensure effective communications and dissemination of information required in establishing superior customer service
• Ability to accurately perceive information from others and assure appropriate flow of said information in a clear, concise and accurate manner
• Coordinate and keep up to date on new developments and innovations leading to improved departmental and company performance
• Have technical knowledge to perform the job and constantly improving on methods for fulfilling responsibilities
