i4Color is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our Oakland-based team. This is traditionally an on-site position, however, due to ongoing concern around Covid-19 and our desire to prioritize the health and safety of our team, for now, we are operating under a hybrid of telework and on-site work. Role Summary

The Project Manager role will be responsible for trafficking photography, retouching and CGI projects from kickoff to completion, managing the workloads of retouching talent & acting as a liaison between clients and the retouching department. As a key member of the studio, the Project Manager will work on a wide array of brands for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to smaller CPG and food industry companies, and design and advertising agencies; to produce work for use on packaging, print, web and e-commerce.

Core Functions

• Handle multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with quick turnarounds and priorities that can change quickly.
• Collaborate with photographers, art directors, designers and clients on retouching, CGI and rendering projects.
• Give clear and concise direction to CGI and retouchers to support efficient workflow and high-quality images.
• Enter retouching, CGI and render projects into traffic management system, capturing detailed notes for revisions on subsequent rounds.
• Provide cost and timing estimates for retouching, CGI and render projects.
• Perform quality control on operator work prior to showing to clients.
• Manage the workflow of operators, including identifying when acquiring temporary talent is necessary to meet deadlines.
• Deliver files to clients for review and always adhere to deadlines.
• Control project budgets.
• Ensure projects are invoiced in a timely manner.

Experience

Work Experience:

• Five to seven years of experience as a Project Manager with at least five years in a consumer packaged goods industry and or experience in an integrated agency context.

Industry Knowledge:

• Solid understanding of file specifications; resolution, color space and other technical requirements of assets needed for print packaging and non-packaging.
• Agency-side or internal agency experience; familiarity with a client service context.
• Working knowledge of color correction based on RGB color space and conversion to CMYK to meet printing industry standards for reproduction.
