• The main function of this position is for 3D visualization of commercial products, including modeling, optimizing, rendering, and animation.
• This role will support the Office on immersive technology topics such as augmented and virtual reality experiences, web viewers, and marketing or training materials.
• Prepare sketches of ideas, concept drawings, illustrations, artwork, or blueprints, using drafting instruments, paints and brushes, or computer-aided design equipment.
• Modify and refine designs, using working models, to conform with customer specifications, production limitations, or changes in design.
• Coordinate the look and function of environment, art style, or product per customer needs.
• Confer with engineering, marketing, production, or sales departments, or with customers, to establish and evaluate design concepts for manufactured products.
• Read publications, research new techniques, and study competing products and design styles and motifs to obtain perspective and generate design concepts.
• Design 3D graphic material for use as illustration, advertising, or immersive experiences.

Requirements

• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving ability.
• Skilled in optimizing 3D data, finding efficiencies through baked bitmaps, retopologizing and LOD’s.
• Knowledge and experience with camera and rigged model animation.
• Displays skills with artistic procedural rendering as well as realistic rendering.
• Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Previous experience using and optimizing CAD data to create optimized models or generate high resolution images.
• Experience with Adobe imaging software (i.e., Illustrator, Photoshop), 3D software (Blender) and graphics software.
• Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Media Arts or similar.
• 5-7 years’ experience required.
• Must have own equipment. 3D modeling software.
