The Human Resource Generalist will support managers in their role as people leaders. With a clear understanding of JCK’s business direction and tools and resources available, the HRG will support all levels of leadership in managing their teams effectively and efficiently and play a leading role in the deployment of people solutions, leadership strategies and process improvement in close alignment with the Director of Human Resources and other business partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports the Director of HR in the development and delivery of all new employee onboarding milestones. Ensures consistency in the onboarding experience and a smooth transition from the point of employment offer acceptance to the employee’s work assignment.
• Conducts all necessary employment checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, leave management, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and productivity documentation, recognition, morale focused activities, occupational health and safety, and other employee related matters.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations under the direct leadership of the HR Director.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Independently maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law using tools provided by the Company (i.e.,maintain active SHRM Membership, and participate in local HR community groups).
• Serves as the first point of contact for managers and employees and delegates or escalates accordingly.
• Proactively delivers coaching and development feedback to managers in their role as people leaders, giving guidance on key activities & processes within the yearly HR cycle.
• Serves as an ambassador of HR transformation and adoption of new HR business practices and process development.
• Provide employee related information and analytics to management to assist them in efficiently managing their team.
• Recruit feedback from all satellite jobsites regarding training needs, behavioral trends, and employee feedback to recommend training opportunities to the Talent & Development Coordinator.
• Respond and track all unemployment inquiries and support with any hearings and/or appeals scheduled by various state unemployment departments.
• Generate communication tools and strategies to disseminate information to all employees and management levels.
• Assist the Events Committee in coordinating employee focused activities.
• Coordinating domestic and international travel, including flight, hotel, and car rental reservations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
