Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a talented Sr. Staff Manufacturing Technology Engineer with aerospace and defense expertise, for our global aerospace/defense client in the Los Angeles County area.
Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional engineering experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Technical/Engineering/Mechatronics or International equivalent.
• Expert Six Sigma Lean tools knowledge.
• Expert engineering knowledge, including understanding of component functions and requirements and relationship to system interaction and validation.
• Understand manufacturing and controls processes and drawings.
• Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills and analytical calculation skills.
• Leads in setting of technical direction, and act as lead for small teams.
• Expert knowledge in multiple types of assembly, test and process control systems.

Requirements:

• Direct engineering aspects for multiple complex and detailed projects, including project management and engineering tasks.
• Estimate staffing resources and may schedule/assign work to meet completion dates.
• Solve in-depth engineering challenges and communicate solutions to other engineers, sales, development and management.
• Perform a variety of complex engineering challenges, including design requirements, non-standard tools, materials, or equipment, etc.
• Design, support, improve and test high complexity controls and automation systems and equipment.
• Ensure designs meet usability and supportability criteria.
• Troubleshoot and analyze component/system challenges.
• Lead automated equipment design projects and best practices for machine safety, ergonomics, and efficiency/product yields.
• Expert use and understanding of design software/tools as appropriate.
• Perform design and integration of advanced manufacturing technology and systems, as well as mentoring, driving process improvements, and strategic planning.
• Will develop technology roadmaps and set technical strategy and direction, with a strong relationship with customer and suppliers.

Location: Greater Los Angeles, CA area (hybrid)

Compensation/Benefits: $145,000 – $215,000 annual salary range, in addition to excellent career growth opportunities, outstanding benefits, annual bonus, etc.
