We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff, as well as front of house (Sales Floor) and back of house (Inventory Management/Operations) of this upscale boutique voted “Best of the Best” by Palm Springs Life Magazine readers. Just Fabulous opened in 2007 and is considered the premier gift boutique and book seller in the Coachella Valley.

The GM is responsible for maintaining the exemplary work and customer service standards from employees, as well as onboarding and hiring new team members, and overseeing the general operations of a retail boutique in one of the most popular tourist destinations in the USA.

The General Manager position is key to the success and smooth operations of Just Fabulous. Compensation and Benefits commensurate with professional experience and educational background.

General Manager responsibilities include assisting CEO in formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing/overseeing customer service and store policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our team develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive. You will also oversee celebrity book signing events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations
• Design strategy and set goals for growth
• Enforce policies and procedures

• Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
• Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
• Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
• Direct the employee assessment process
• Prepare regular reports for upper management
• Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
• Provide solutions to issues (e.g. general HR, staff performance reviews, disciplinary action when necessary, employee conflicts, overall customer service)

Skills

• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
• Experience in planning and budgeting
• Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
• Strong analytical ability
• Excellent communication skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Problem-solving aptitude
• MBA an related degrees in business operations a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
