KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America, Inc. (KSEA) has launched an initiative toward continuous improvement and efficiency. Some elements of this initiative are grass roots in nature, and others are strategic. Many of the elements will require significant problem solving, technology, outside expertise and other forms of work which should be managed professionally in the form of projects to increase their success rate.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager who will serve as a member of the Value Delivery Office. This role is responsible for business case development, project management and project results for KSEA business improvement initiatives.

This position will be based in El Segundo (Los Angeles), CA with an opportunity to work remote 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

• Leverage experience to promote effective project management best practices
• Support development of detailed improvement proposals and presentation of business cases to demonstrate ROI to gain buy in of key stakeholders
• Apply experience and project management skills to execute projects and deliver results on time and within budget
  • Work with project teams to understand, document and manage project objectives, requirements, scope, schedules and resources
  • Lead and coordinate execution of project work
  • Provide visibility to project status to key stakeholders and management
  • Identify, communicate and manage risks and issues
  • Manage project quality to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and value delivery
  • Manage vendor selection process as required
  • Report on project results after project closure
• Apply technical experience and expertise to ensure success of complex software and technology projects
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment with multiple, simultaneous and fluid priorities
• Successfully navigate the KARL STORZ organization and culture locally, as well as globally

Requirements

Our successful candidate will have excellent written and spoken business communication skills. They will also have demonstrated success working in a collaborative, service-oriented team environment.

Additional requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Advanced professional certification in project management
• 5+ years relevant work experience; understanding of process improvement, accounting / finance principles and operations strongly desired
• Agile experience
• Experience with complex software projects
• Experience working with MS Project
• Sound foundation in IT solutions

Preferred

• Prior experience as a Business Analyst
• Healthcare, medical device or a related industry experience
• Prior experience working with global organizations
• Certified Scrum Master
• ERP (SAP) application experience
• Experience with MS Project Server
