Responsibilities:
Kearney & Company is seeking an Internal Audit Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team! Skills and responsibilities include but are but not limited to:
- Supporting audit facilitation and audit remediation efforts over the procurement business process
- Working with Army stakeholders to respond to audit requests (PBCs, walkthroughs, sample testing, etc.)
- Holding meetings with independent public auditor, drafting/reviewing corrective action plans to address NFRs
- Identifying impediments to audit progress, and driving business process improvements to enable audit progress
- Ability to work collaboratively and across teams to achieve a common goal
- Demonstrated experience conducting audit or providing audit support
- Proactive in bringing innovation to overcome obstacles
- Knowledge of Army and DoD financial management processes
- Audit readiness experience with a focus on business process IT application controls for financially relevant systems
- Experience auditing, reviewing, or working with federal business processes such as contract vendor pay, civilian payroll, and financial reporting
- Respond to audit requests (PBCs, walkthroughs, sample testing, etc.), holding meetings with independent public auditor, drafting/reviewing corrective action plans to address NFRs, identifying impediments to audit progress, and driving business process improvements to enable audit progress
- Conduct Test of Design on financial and operational processes
- Improving financial controls and process implementation
- Entity Level Controls (ELC) documentation and testing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Business Management WITH a CPA or CISA or PMP or CGFM or CDFM, OR a Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Business Management with 4 years of experience with federal financial management, WITH 2 years of federal accounting experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
This position is temporarily remote. Management or the client may adjust or eliminate the temporary remote work arrangement at any point. This would require employee presence at the defined work location on a full-time or hybrid basis, depending on client needs.
