LaserShip Hiring for Carrier Manager, Logistics Job at Remote Full Time

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Carrier relations manager is responsible for overseeing LaserShip’s market strategy for gaining cost effective access to new transportation markets and carrier networks.

• Project management and development of RFQ process to implement bids with third party providers to provide an open and competitive procurement process.

• Develop and maintain key relationships with Lasership’s carrier base leveraging the LaserShip spend to reduce transportation costs.

• Develop and maintain carrier rates, lane, and information in our TMS software.

• Work with sales and operations to identify proper carriers for new lanes to drive value and price strategy to provide best solution to the customer based off knowledge of carrier network.

• Analyze pricing data for contractual and spot business

• Serve as a centralized resource to develop, establish and maintain carrier best practices across the organization

• Engage with partner carrier to develop strong relationships and be the point of contact for escalation

• Ensure partner carrier compliance to LaserShip policy

• Establish carrier scorecards Deliverables & Achievables, KPI’s, Metrics, and Business Intelligence.

• To assist delivering transportation costs within budget

• Internal/External customer Satisfaction

• Knowledge of carrier backhaul lanes

• Identify consistent lanes to develop a primary and backup carrier to enhance service to the customer with competitive pricing
