Lily Transportation Hiring for Logistics Specialist – Drayage Job at Boston, MA Full Time

Join our rapidly growing Brokerage Division as a Drayage Logistics Specialist!

Lily Transportation was founded in 1958 and is experiencing rapid growth in our logistics brokerage division. Through our growth we are now seeking an individual to work in our expanding drayage department. We are looking for a motivated individual with knowledge of the container drayage business and is eager to learn.

The Opportunity
The position will require the individual to assist with the complete drayage process. This person would be working with dray carriers, warehouses and customers. Will be working with our team to monitor container arrivals at the port terminals, organize container pickups, work with dray carriers to set up delivery appointments, follow the containers until returned empty to the port terminal.

_You’ll earn $65,000 – $75,000 annualy (DOE)._

Operations

• Prepare orders for dispatch according to the needs/requirements of customers and carriers
• Container tracking & tracing with priority to avoid detention, demurrage, per diem, storage charges etc.
• Daily communication with internal team members
• Maintain and build relationships with truckers, warehouses, and customers
• Follow up to ensure drayage shipments are communicated to the appropriate parties
• Check the delivery status and share updates with customers
• Assist accounting to provide POD’s and correct invoices as needed

Job Requirements

• Knowledge and experience of Ports and Drayage.
• Min 2 years relevant experience
• Ability to Multitask
• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably in a fast-paced, team environment
• Motivated to support clients, team members and other departments while providing exceptional results
• Good written, oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with customers, partners, vendors, management and team members
• Knowledge of U.S. Terminals, Ports and Railroads
• Prioritization skill, able to shift focus to urgent issues while not falling behind on other duties
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
