Mathnasium of Collegeville Hiring for Math Tutor Job at Collegeville, PA Full Time

Love what you do and make a difference in a child’s life! As a part-time math tutor, you will be trained on the Mathnasium curriculum and teaching methods. Depending on your capabilities, you will provide personalized math instruction in Elementary math through Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus and Statistics.

As a successful Math Instructor, you will:

• Teach math using Mathnasium curriculum
• Interact with, motivate, and reward students during instruction hours
• Evaluate and document student progress
• Communicate student needs to Center Director
• Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment
• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching math
• Assist in keeping the center clean and orderly, (before, during, and after instruction hours)

Flexible Hours

• 15-20 hours a week
• The center operates from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm EST, Sundays-Thursdays

Qualifications
Tutoring experience is not required, BUT,

• Must be good at working with kids and enjoy engaging with kids.
• Must have very strong math fundamentals (elementary through upper-level high school math)
• Must have a dynamic personality and an ease working with kids
• Must be willing to learn the Mathnasium teaching methods through on the job training
• Must have availability for at least 15 hours per week

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 – $15.00 per hour
