Mayvin is seeking an experienced GOVCON Senior Accountant to provide direct accounting operations support to the CFO and Controller. Hands-on, cradle-to-grave accounting responsibilities. Track financial information in a well-organized manner and assist the CFO and Controller in all aspects related to accounting for the organization. Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle accounting – responsible for maintaining the accounting system transactional records to ensure timely and accurate financial statements/project data
• Proven independent experience in month-end close and year-end close
• Must possess strong Government Contracting Accounting skills, proven GOVCON general ledger experience, including all assets, liabilities, and equity accounts
• Generate financial reports for senior leadership
• Monitor and analyze balance sheets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Tactical responsibilities include set-up of general ledger accounts, vendors, projects, CLINS, and Troubleshoot issues
• Crosscheck payroll prior to processing
• Establish, maintain, and enforce accounting policies and procedures
• Support CFO and Controller in all financial matters of the organization, in issues including audit, tax, budgeting, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• 6 years of Government Cost Accounting is required
• Experience working with DCAA and preparing Incurred Cost Submissions
• 6 years Government Contracting ERP/Financial Accounting system experience required (Unanet, Deltek GCS/Costpoint, et al.)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables)
• Public accounting experience is highly desired
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, and experience with UNANET a plus
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance

Pay: From $91,940.09 per year
