MedNorthwest Hiring for Administrative Assistant – Medical Office Job at Seattle, WA Full Time

MedNorthwest is a primary care practice located on First Hill in Seattle that operates on the “concierge” model. We have been in business doing concierge medicine for 20 years and provide an outstanding level of clinical care and personal service to our panel of patients.

We are looking for a detailed-oriented administrative assistant with a warm, engaging personality to work in a complex and challenging medical environment. Our goal is to put you to work with your excellent administrative skills, but also to train you in our office to become a registered medical assistant, providing beside patient care as well. We have successfully trained several medical assistants this way, taking intelligent, highly-motivated individuals and transforming them into first-rate medical assistants.

Job Requirements

• Available to work Mon–Fri 8:30–5:00.

The job duties include:

• Working at the front desk area, handling phones and emails, greeting patients.
• Transcribing dictated chart notes and letters.
• Communicating with insurance companies regarding prior authorizations and other coverage issues.
• Assisting with billing and accounts payable.
• Managing all aspects of the front office, including ordering supplies and maintaining equipment.
• Building relationships with patients, serving as their advocate.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Serving as an executive assistant for special projects.
• After proper training, medical assisting duties such as drawing blood, giving immunizations, assisting with procedures, and taking vital signs.

The practice offers a starting salary of $30 / hour, health insurance, paid parking or transportation allowance, 3 weeks of PTO, 401(k) after one year, and salary review after one year as well.
