Job Purpose
The HR Business Partner will be responsible for aligning HR business objectives within the corporate office. This position serves as a consultant to our management team on human resources-related issues and is responsible for the tactical execution of HR policies and strategic initiatives.
Travel Requirements
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide consultation on issues related to legal and procedural compliance, labor and employee relations, workforce planning, talent and performance management, compensation and organizational development
- Maintain/Update HR Business Systems, policies, and procedures
- Assist in the recruiting and onboarding process, including creating job postings and helping managers with onboarding new employees
- Administer, and evaluate employee benefits programs such as retirement plans; medical, dental, vision plans; life insurance plans; temporary disability programs; and wellness programs.
- Build strong relationships and credibility with all levels of management
- Increase the ability of business leaders and staff to resolve employee relations issues and facilitate change management using knowledge transfer, coaching, and training
- Work closely with managers and individual contributors to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention
- Head the workforce safety team and coordinate with global EHS team members on safety initiatives for the Tucson office
Required Skills
- 2-5 years progressive Human Resources experience, preferably as a generalist/advisor
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience
- Strong business acumen with sound problem solving and influencing skills
