Job Summary

Within a patient centered culture, the Medical Assistant (MA) will assist provider and nursing staff deliver optimal patient care, and work with others to achieve efficient clinical and business operations. The MA performs both clinical and administrative tasks.

Education Requirements

A graduate of a medical assisting program or 2 years of medical assistant experience with in a medical office setting along with a current certified or registered MA certification.

Associate’s degree in medical assisting and/or certification preferred.

Experience Requirements

2 Years of MA Experience in place of Medical Assisting Program

Demonstrated proficiency with administering a variety of routine patient care procedures (i.e. taking blood pressure, temperature and pulse) and related administrative tasks acquired through formal training and on-the-job experience.

Certifications/ Licensures

Current Medical Assistant Certification/Registration in place of Medical Assisting Program
