Responsibilities

• Oversees daily transactions (e.g. accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, cash receipts, sales imports and reconciliations)
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial statements, P&L reports, and monthly balance sheet analysis
• Analysis of invoices for freight, warehousing, and cost of goods
• Complete month-end close in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Provide support for quarter end close
• Assist with tax audit and tax return preparation
• Assist in system automation, upgrade, and implementation
• Participate in any special projects, and assist in completion

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Three to five years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Degree in accounting or equivalent experience in computerized accounting functions
• Experience with Google Suite, including Google Drive, Sheets, and Docs
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail
• Meets deadlines within a fast-paced environment, often with competing priorities
• Communicates effectively within the organization and with vendors, brokers, and distributors
• Overall proficiency with MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of ERP Software (Global Shop Solutions)
• Consolidated Financial Knowledge
• Bilingual in Spanish
