• Analyze complex accounting and financial reporting situations in order to implement and carry forth practical and valuable solutions required to successfully complete month-end and quarter-end reporting.
• Perform technical accounting research to address complex GAAP accounting issues including, but not limited to: drafting technical accounting memos for complex business transactions, contract analysis and application of revenue recognition standard, lease accounting analysis, and inventory costing.
• Manage the preparation of GAAP compliant financial statements and footnotes, and SEC filing documents (including S-1 and S-3 registration statements, proxy statements, 10-K’s, 10-Q’s, etc.), to support annual year-end audits, quarterly reviews, and other SEC filing requirements.
• Monitor and assist in the preparation and review of new accounting standards, corporate accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide recommendations to other accounting management to address technical accounting issues such as: researching appropriate guidance, benchmarking peer disclosures, and drafting technical accounting memos or position papers as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to obtain information necessary to ensure complete understanding of the Company’s operation process as related with the areas for adoption of new technical accounting guidance.
• Act as the accounting liaison between the finance team and our external auditors, providing support and guidance in preparation of schedules and other analyses in support of annual and quarterly audits.
• Support the Company’s internal control implementations led by SOX management.
• Complete other adhoc projects to assist the Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar field of study.
• 5+ years of dedicated accounting, preferably with a combination of experiences from both public accounting and publicly traded companies with significant exposure to US GAAP technical issue identification and resolution.
• Experience handling complex technical accounting transactions including equity, revenue recognition, leases, as well as assess and implement new US GAAP accounting standards and reporting requirements
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to be a self-starter.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and organization skills.
• Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.

• Current CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification preferred.
• Experience working in the aerospace or manufacturing industry is a plus, but not required.
• Experience working with Oracle or a large ERP system and Workiva will add value, though not required.
